A CELEBRATION & A SURPRISINGLY INTIMATE AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Paula Abdul pleased all her true fans in the hall in Lynn last night with a creative multimedia production & a very open-hearted, unguarded retelling of the highs and lows of her career. AND she looked and danced like she was half her age! Abdul was always a dancer and choreographer first and a singer second. It's true anyone who came to her sing live was disappointed - she used the original recording (I think) of all her songs (although, come to think of it, the opening bars of 'Cold- Hearted Snake' were sung jazz-style) and focused instead on the dancing. And what dancing there was! Wow. Abdul was always a thrill to watch dance, and she still is. She had a small team of top-notch dancers with her. Abdul's choreography is a joy and a pleasure to watch. I was enthralled. I sat near the back of the floor section (which looked sold out to me). We were on our feet dancing for at least half the show, at Abdul's encouragement, and it was a blast. (No one left early, as far as I could tell.)

THE CROWD WAS ON THEIR FEET!

It was a fantastic show! From the moment Paula stepped onto the stage until the finally, the New Buffalo, MI crowd were on their feet singing and dancing. Including such a variety of technology brought the music alive for a new generation; all enhanced by the theatrical events displayed chronicling Paula's journey. If you want to stand on your feet, singing and dancing along with this dynamic performer, take your feet to see this show!...even if you have to drive four hours like our crowd did!

PAULA ABDUL

It was painful to watch, high tech, maybe, rellavent, NO, lipsynced bunch of BS. I have never witnessed so many people walk out of a show less than an hour in. WTH was she thinking. Her management has done her no favors letting her out with this 'show'. Over an hour late, no band, filmed crap. I almost feel sorry for her. Pitiful, really pitiful.
