Is it harder to fall in love nowadays than it was in Victorian times?
In the age of Tinder where the potential love of your life could be found, or lost, at the mere swipe of a screen, dating has become more complicated than the days of yore. In this sparky romantic comedy, San Diego's Ocean Beach Playhouse presents timeless love story Pride and Prejudice with a modern musical twist!
The play models fiery free spirit and bohemian photographer Marcy on the the headstrong Elizabeth Benett and uptight greeting card writer Austin on the haughty Mr. Darcy. The pair meet after Austin catches his former girlfriend in bed with another and Marcy tires of falling for the wrong sort of guy. Tensions between the two rise and turn into passion when they realise they love each other because of their differences, not in spite of them.
