Hear Thriller performed as you've never heard it before
Having entertained the SoCal community for over 30 years since 1985, the Chorus are renowned for their pitch perfect renditions of choral music, as well as leading tributes to the biggest artists in music. Now having merged with another men's choir in 2010, the Chorus is one of the largest ensembles in the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Choruses collective with about 110 individuals. This July, they will perform the entirety of the late Michael Jackson album, Thriller, plus medleys from his earlier times as part of the Jackson Five. With 150 singers and dancers all illuminating the best of Jackson, this is one tribute concert set to blow the roof off the Balboa Theatre!
Arguably the most popular of the late Jackson's albums, his sixth studio effort remains a blueprint for up and coming funk, R'n'B and soul artists since its release in 1982. Still critically acclaimed after three decades, it won a record-breaking eight Grammy Awards in 1984, and has now reached a status of historical importance in the Library of Congress' archives.
