AMAZING!!!
Absolutely Amazing! We completely enjoyed this play and our evening
at the Ed Mirvish Theatre!! Recommend this to everyone! A cast
change was necessary part way through due to illness and this was
down seamlessly. The actress that came on was outstanding.
Kudos to all involved!

I saw this wonderful musical at the Pantages in Hollywood, California on 5.3.17. This show is fantastic, fun, energy-filled and a "must-see"! Deborah Cox's performance was remarkable and unbelievably fabulous!

BEST DATE NIGHT EVER
I had the pleasure of attending the Saturday
night show with my husband, it exceeded our
expectations. The show's revisions of the
movie accompanied by the great acting and
vocals were a delight.
I highly recommend it!

THE BODYGUARD
FANTASTIC! The best musical ever written...better than Phantom!. The singer's were
fabulous and the dancers unbelievably talented. Great performance by all!

OUTSTANDING!
This show was an amazing trip through Whitney's wonderful music, delivered by
a truly talented pair of actresses. It's not exactly the same plot as the movie, but
it's done well enough and updated sufficiently to reflect the current time , that
any plot modifications are easily absorbed. Music fans, not just Whitney Houston
fans will be, at times, jubilant at the buoyant music, and at other times, reflective
at the sheer talent, now lost to us with Whitney's passing. Overall, it's a great
romp, a solemn reminder of the price of celebrity, and a beautiful tribute to the
legacy of Whitney's music. One of the best parts of seeing this show for the first
time is saying repeatedly to yourself, "oh yeah, I remember this song!", and
occasionally, saying to yourself, "I forgot how very MANY truly great songs this
woman sang." Prepare yourself for a fantastic and unforgettable 2 hours!
Totally worth it.

WONDERFUL!
I can't even begin to explain how wonderful
this play was. The tribute to Whitney was one
of a kind. Excellent show. And Deborah? Wow.
Some notes sounded as if Whitney herself
were singing them. Perfect cast! Please go see
this. You will NOT be disappointed! Wish I
could give it more than 5 stars.
Eileen M. Wawrzynek from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
SPECTACULAR SHOW!
Wow!! The Bodyguard had it all! Deborah Cox has a voice that would not quit and
emulated Whitney perfectly singing her songs. First rate all the way. The story had
suspense, love, passion and above all, dancing, singing and an encore that would not quit!
The stage presentation and electronics were great. Everything worked out perfectly. True
professionalism. Kudos to all involved in the show.

GREAT SETS PRODUCTION VALUE GREAT
Love Deborah Cox great costumes great sets. Was wondering how many songs she sings live
during the show. Saw the show Sunday night great story line. Have tickets for another show in
December but like live singing. The paper mill was a wonderful venue

THE BODYGUARD
The cast, music, and story was fantastic. We
laughed and cried. Without a doubt the best
experience I've had at a theater. I was not a
Whitney or The Bodyguard movie fan but I am
now. Very talented cast. Highly recommend

I had no expectations and was blown away. There

Drove the lovely Jasmin in my Uber and she was as charming as she is
beautiful. What a great talent, but a greater person. Go see the Body
Guard..Wow

STANDOUT PERFORMANCE BY NAOMI C. WALLEY
Just got out of the Tuesday performance (6/13/2017). The
lead role usually performed by Deborah Cox was
performed by Jasmin Richardson. Jasmine's usual role,
Nicki Marron, was played by Naomi C. Walley.
I enjoyed the performance (4 stars) but I have to give a
shout out to Naomi C. Walley. Her performance was 5
Stars.
Paul Jackson from Atlanta, Georgia
MS COX LAYS IT OUT!
Saw Deborah Cox at the fabulous Fox Theatre---going back Sat night. She is sooooo
good. The voice is incredible and she sings all night long! GO GO GO.
(As the movie was--the story is thin..but who cares?)
Centrally located so restaurants and parking are a piece of cake. I had fabulous
orchestra seats but the party was in the balcony. I would definitely take my mother
she would have loved it. Kids over 12 I think.
Shawn from Toronto, Ontario
GREAT MUSICAL
Played true to the story original story. Great vocal and
songs.
Enjoyed the entire show and would go again
Willie Joned from New Jersey

play two different characters.

THE BODYGUARD
I don't know about anyone else but I truly thought this was sensational. You cannot do a
comparason but if you looked at this production as just a musical story it rocked. I
totally loved it and wish I could see it again. Voices were pitch perfect. If it comes back to
Chicago I definatly will go again!
Rose from Hartford, Connecticut
BODYGUARD DOESN'T DISAPPOINT
The stage performances and story line were corny but the special
effects and especially the musical performances carried the show!
Initially we were planning to leave at intermission but we actually
stayed because the show was enjoyable. Loved the after curtain call
number which involved the audience...I Wanna Dance With
Somebody... sent us all into the night on a happy note and
humming.
Janet Turner from Seattle, Washington
THUMBS UP TO THE BODYGUARD
Fantastic performance by Deborah Cox!! The whole cast was really good and I really enjoyed the scene changes so quickly which left us with a smooth transition from one scene to the next one. All I can say about this is if you are a Whitney fan....Go Go Go!! Deborah will not let you down!!!
Pearl Williams from Memphis, Tennessee
BODYGUARD REVIEW
The set was absolutely beautiful. Ms. Cox recording session segment was the best performance since it allowed her to sing in truth Deborah Cox fashion, without subduing the performance. The other songs, of which I enjoyed seemed to be minimized vocally as not to put too much emphasis on the songs themselves which I felt was a huge mistake since those were great songs that Ms. Cox can nail any day any time, but possibly was directed to tone down for some reason. Fletcher's rendition was absolutely awesome and Judson Mills nailed his character.
Bob Dunn from Seattle, Washington
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY MS COX BUT OTHERWISE HORRIBLE
Without any doubt Deborah Cox put on a wonderful performance in Seattle on Tues
11/14/17. Her voice was powerful and very moving especially the finale.
But I have to say every other aspect (except the star's sister) was embarrassingly
weak. The "acting" was uninspired, The story line turned into unconnected skits
unworthy of a high school performance. And the male lead showed no talent
whatsoever. If they wanted to do a tribute to Ms. Houston that would be one thing.
But this was atrocious.
The only saving grace was Ms. Cox's outstanding performance.

THE BODY GUARD
I must have seen an entirely different show in comparison to the other reviews.
Please note, the headliner was not featured, Deborah Cox, unbeknownst to us!
Apparently noted in a one liner at the bottom of a paragraph on the website which
most individuals missed who were seated near me! I purchased orchestra seats
and was extremely disappointed! The acting, props, scenes, setting, costumes were
more than disappointing for a Broadway production. I do have to give credit to
some very beautiful vocal performances. Otherwise, the show was a complete
disappointment and the fact the headliner was not properly disclosed to the
purchaser is extremely concerning!
