Nathan Englander's critically acclaimed book What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank will make its stage debut next spring at San Diego's Old Globe, under the direction of Barry Edelstein. The tale is of a friendship re-kindling between two Jewish women after one returns from 'the holy land' and how they revisit their childhood game based on the life story of Anne Frank.
The book was originally published in February of 2012 as part of a collection of short stories. It went on to be a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and be awarded the 2012 Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award.
