La Jolla presents the West Coast premiere of Martyna Majok's queens, a revealing portrait of the American immigrant experience. The story focuses on two generations of immigrant women in Queens, New York, and how their lives in their new homeland have differed. Majok has received considerable plaudits for her works which focus on minority communities within the USA. Her previous works include Ironbound and The Cost of Living, both of which have been staged Off-Broadway.
