Set was beautiful. Music superb, Orchestra was delightful, but, the cast needed improvement. I have been a member of the Opera for years, and have enjoyed most of the performances. I must admit before I walked out of the 1st intermission I looked around and found plenty of patrons sleeping. It opened with the director explaining that a cast member wouldn't be singing her complete lines. I left after watching a so called young infatuated soldier attempting to arouse a wife. It just do happen to be a young lady playing the part of the soldier, but, she sang in the young lady's tone. Not sure if I will continue to support the Opera anymore.
