The incredible life and times of the Queen of Disco are the focus of this brand new musical from Colman Domingo, Robert Cary and Des McAnuff. Undoubtedly one of the most recognized voices in the world, Summer reigned supreme in the 1970s, bringing disco to into the mainstream with her enormous talent for writing and performing. The show will follow her meteoric rise to stardom, with three actresses who'll cover each stage of her incomparable career from her childhood in Boston, her emergence in Germany and of course her domination of the charts. Expect to hear 20 of her greatest hits, including the electronic masterpiece 'I Feel Love', 'Love to Love You Baby' and 'Macarthur Park', among many others.

La Jolla Playhouse was founded in 1947 by Gregory Peck, Dorothy McGuire and Mel Ferrer and is currently led by Artistic Director Christopher Ashley and Managing Director Michael S. Rosenberg. The Playhouse is a non-profit theatre on the University of California's campus in San Diego. The theatre's success has been outstanding, with productions having received over 300 major honors, including 35 Tony Awards for its 26 productions that have transferred to Broadway. La Jolla Playhouse offers a number of opportunities for people of all ages who are interested in the theatre, from performance to backstage operations.
