Barry Edelstein returns to the Shakespeare Festival to take on the greatest love story of all time.
The Old Globe
Shakespeare's famed love story Romeo and Juliet will never age. The fated tale of forbidden love has inspired generation after generation and continues to captivate both old and new audiences. The play is directed by Old Globe Theatre's artistic director whose known for his take on Shakespeare plays including Julius Caesar, The Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, Richard III and The Winter's Tale.
The story centers on young lovers Romeo and Juliet who belong to two feuding families. The family rivalry leads to a tragic ending, so captivating that the story has seen many adaptations across all media styles, ballets and plays. To many, it remains a masterpiece.
