Louisa May Alcott's 19th century classic novel centers on the March sisters - Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy and their relatable transition from childhood to womanhood. The story is loosely based on Alcott's own life and family and was especially popular with girls during its time of publication where gender roles were forcibly present and difficult to break.

The Gardens of Anuncia is inspired by the fascinating life story, both on and off stage, of theater legend Graciela Daniele. It centers on Anuncia who looks back to her childhood in Argentina and honors the women in her life who made sacrifices so that she could follow her dream of becoming an artist.

The education and community programs at Old Globe are very popular, with more than 20 different programs to choose from.
